He has a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology – Roorkee, class of 2004 and has been interested in software development since second grade.
He has worked as a software developer in technologies like .Net, C++ and Objective-C. During his career in the software industry, he has worked as a Game Development Lead for 3 years, wherein he has laid hands on various Game Engines (Unreal, Gamebryo and Torque to name a few). However he has always been more inclined towards Physics based implementations, and thus has also worked hands-on with Newton Dynamics, ODE and Bullet. He has also had Game Development experience for iPhone when it was still young (iOS 3.0).
After this he shifted his focus to .Net based technologies, and now heads the Solutions Architecture Department at Q3 wherein he is responsible for conceptualizing and implementing technological processes and defining the overall technological direction of the organization. His role requires him to mostly stay away from the core technological implementation, but he still sneaks into his developer boots time and again to help his teams with specific issues and conduct specific technical research.
Apart from programming, Prashant is also interested in philosophy, psychology and Photography. He intends to create a blog with the intent of sharing his occasional philosophical insights, especially when it relates to mathematical expression of the world.
